Ah, okay we're inside the lab. Woah, woah woah! There's a big monster in front of me! We're here at ICE 2018 at the stand of Join Games with the new game 'Zombie Escape'.
And here's Martin McDonald, he's the Chief Exploration Officer of Join Games. Tell us about your new game. At SiGMA we saw Kleopatra VR. Which was this kind of this realistic environment with Kleopatra's palace, right? So, what's changed? What's new? We're making 360 full virtual reality games. So, fully immersive - the technology that we're delivering over is a smartphone. So everybody's got a smartphone in their pocket. And the headset that you can see here; You can get for starting at $15 on Amazon so there's zero barriers for people to play. So, 'Zombie Escape' which is the game that you can see behind us, is our second game. And here we have a hybrid game which actually crosses over between familiar computer game territory and iGaming. So, we're blurring the lines navigate to this website. And that - it's a kind of a combination of an FPS. So you've got a first-person shooter where you actually have a mission based environment. But it's actually catering to younger players who are all able to multitask. It's not about doing one thing and focusing on that. So, you'll notice in the game that there are multiple screens inside. So, there are different things that can happen in there. So, while you're shooting zombies, you can also be playing the game. Oh, oh, oh. Here we go! And when you hit the bonus, we then take you on a journey - so you go in a car, you go to another place. I'm in a car, I'm in a car! There's a whole narrative around it. We've got a really famous voice doing the narrative if you know who that is. You have to play the game. Oh! I can hear Morgan Freeman. That's a good choice of voice. Why did you choose zombies, like, what's the appeal? Zombies is always gonna be a winner for a computer. It's a category that everybody loves. So, the reason why we went with zombies was because the first one was ready to get people into that environment. And then we wanted to start getting people into a more action-based environment. Which is what we've got with zombies. But we have another element to the business model, which is to actually show owners of existing intellectual property that you can do other things with it. So, if you've invested to make a 2D game, then you can take that same IP and translate it into virtual reality. The game that you've just seen is, we revealed it but we're about 50% with that. The game will be ready to go live in April this year. So players will be able to get their hands on it and have a good time in there! You probably did a lot of research about zombies, right, before doing this game? A little bit, yeah. We kinda know a bit about zombies. So let me ask you a question right now. So, what if there was like a zombie apocalypse that would break out, like right now in this moment at ICE. What would be your impromptu weapon around here? Like in this boot, what would you grab, your number one choice weapon? My impromptu weapon would be my legs. Your legs? A pair of training shoes and running as fast as I could. Oh, okay! Because I don't happen to have a pump action shotgun around anywhere. So, then I think it would be a case of who could run the fastest. So, I can't wait to try it - let's get the headset on! If I don't make it out alive, I love you all, okay? Is it loading? Yeah, I think it's loading. Apparently I have to save everyone, it's all in my hands! Okay, I don't know what it is. It's like some big muscly entity like an alien humanoid thing! I don't know... It's a master zombie. It's covered in blood! Oh okay it's a mas - yeah it does. That description does fit it... Okay, I killed it! Congratulations, you just saved the world! Oh, okay, wow, thank you!

I’m standing out front of one of our new dining establishments. A very exciting outlet, Carver’s Café. And to tell the story of Carver’s Café, you can’t start without mentioning these pillars here. So these two big pillars at the entrance of the café, you may have recognized them, they used to be the two big pillars out in our casino lobby. We needed to find a place for them, and we decided to incorporate them into the entrance of our new café and call it Carver’s Café. Many of you may know, or may not know, that carving is a very integral part of the Swinomish culture here. Carvings have been used since the beginning of time to tell stories through totems, and artwork, and pictures, as well as functional items. Bowls, spoons, tools, other things of that nature. Transportation. Hand-carved canoes. So Carver’s is filled with carvings from our Swinomish tribal members, as well as some historical photos of some of the most renowned Swinomish carvers of our time. So we invite you to come on in. Traditional, all-American classics. We’re open 24 hours a day. Breakfast all day. Just a great place to come. Hand-carved masterpieces on the wall, and hand-carved masterpieces on your plate. Make sure you come and explore and taste all we have to offer. We’ll see you next week! The Jockey
You must know the jockey you are betting on. Every horse track have their leaders and it is important to bet on one of them. Some exception may occur. For example, a big stake with a lot of outside horse and stable bringing their own jockey. But for usual daily race, choose one of the best jockeys. How to do that? Have a look on local horse race program all the information is there. You can also buy the daily racing form which give information on many different horse race tracks. When it’s possible, try to know who is hot and who is not. Also check the secondary jockey (meaning not a leader but a regular jockey) that obtains a good result in one of the first races of the night. For example, the 7th ranking jockey of the track gets a finishing result second with a long shot in the first race. Two or three race later, the same jockey wins a race. Why it is like that? Well, many theories on that. Some said, it’s the pay day for that jockey as everyone of them should earn money to live. Some said that the jockey betting agent play that night. I really don’t know if it’s true but let’s say at least the guy is hot and pay attention to him. Jerry Bailey is a jockey extraordinaire. He started his career in 1974 at the age of 17 and never looked back. Over the years, he has won the Breeders Cup Classic, the Kentucky Derby, the Preakness Stakes, the Dubai World Cup and the Belmont, as well as won more races at Saratoga than any jockey in history. Along the way, Bailey has ridden such sensational horses as Black Tie Affair, Hansel, Sea Hero, Concern, Red Bullet, Captain Steve Empire Maker and Grindstone. Jerry Bailey has hand signed this 1620 photograph of him riding Grindstone to victory at the 122nd Kentucky Derby on May 4, 1996 and added the inscription, 96 K. Derby. This photograph comes complete with a Steiner Sports Certificate of Authenticity. The Trainer Horse race training is an art and a good trainer will always get a serious edge. So it's a must to have a look on the best trainer of the track you play on. Check the previous year average of the trainer. At the end of the meeting check the average of the current year. Same things as for jockey, try to know who is hot and who is not. In thoroughbred, some trainer is good on turf some are not. In harness race, some trainer are good with trotter some are better with pacer. It is very important to know if that trainer stable is hot or cold. A hot stable can bring many winner inside 1 or 2 weeks. Why is hot? Sometimes they put some stimulate addition in the horse food or the veterinary visit the stable or other reasons. While some people play the lottery on a more serious level, most view it as an entertaining diversion. There is a certain thrill associated with watching the lottery numbers being drawn and seeing if one’s lottery numbers match the winning ones.
